Thank you Floridas, I would like to know what the western NY business has to do with Novocarbon ? It was mentioned something about $6 mil and equipment needed, for what ? I know the NY government helps fund businesses start-ups ect, great idea. Muchas gracias amigo.
Novocarbon is now domiciled in the US and not Canada which would give them access to US based funding. Also they are based in New York which would give them NY state funding. When GLK was going to be at Matheson they qualified for some funds for being in the area. Same sort of thing. Remember NY state has a very ambitious green energy plan and are open for initiatives. Novocarbon has been working on that for some time now.
One of the presentations is dated in September, about two months ago. This was before the last NR about the crucibles and machinery. As far as the NR goes, some of the capital machinery has already been purchased. It also marries the funding with the capital needed. Private funding can be from partners, private investors, whatever. I assume eventually it will be public funding but we don't know yet or at least I don't know. Some posters here might be aware.
What is interesting is it highlighting three phases. Lets get Phase 1 done and it will set-up for strong growth.
Note: people forget 6 million is nothing to start-up a mine which Novo is not doing. Look at Mason and others, what they need to start a mine. Look at Syrah for scope. What matters most is how much they can make off that capital investment. Yes their financial numbers look bad - agree. But at least their PP's are not simply for administration costs and compensating management for doing nothing. A poster or two treat their quarterly financials like their birthday and celebrate by coming on here and highlighting the numbers. As long as they don't have NR finalizing offtake their number willl be bad but looking at those presentations they seem close. Very close. This is probably their last chance to get it right though... High risk / high reward.
