Woodbine

WoodbineResults on Monday evening. Just an update with regards to Woodbine for those who are interested (not too many folks on this board).

The slots are doing pretty good.

Since the roulette machines have been moved to second floor - more slots have come on the gaming floor. Some latest new slot machines.

Table games:

There were some issues (software - machines breaking down) with stadium gaming version of the BlackJack / Baccarat machines with live dealers. Not many folks played the stadium games and there were 4 - 6 dealers standing around. The other roulette machines and the regular machines for Bacarrat and Blackjack and Casino War with live dealer has the best response from the patrons.

From folks I talked to who visited recently it looks like management has noticed that there was not much money coming in from those stadium games and they just took it away and will be replaced by two roulette and some blackjack tables. Better use of the space.

They definitely need more blackjack tables and more variants of black jack as it seems to be pretty popular. Casino War and Roulette are very popular also along with Baccarrat.

VIP floor:

The third floor looks nice but the challenge is to get the folks up there. The minimums are $200 for Blackjack and $100 for Roulette. Baccarrat minimum is $300.

The Roulette table has single zero which is better odds for the player (double zero on the second floor). Most of the folks play on the second floor. Minimum chip is $10 per chip (in VIP on third floor) and it is $5 per chip on the second floor (with lower limits of $25 or $50 depending on the day). Probably most folks prefer $5 for each chip.

The second table of roulette on the third floor has never opened up. So capacity is there if needed. Rama and Niagara VIP was on the decline other than for Baccarrat so not surprised at the lack of players in VIP for roulette. Need some slot players to move upto the third floor for High Limits play.

Bacarrat in VIP sems to be picking up. Can play without having too many people looking over your shoulder. Private gaming also available.

There are slot machines in VIP but not many folks playing them. Maybe a lot of folks on first floor have not seen the VIP floor or may not want to leave their favorite machines.
