I'm back in. KL's 1) grow in output, and 2) drop in AISC,over the next ~16 quarters, looks even stronger than what I expected it would be, and I cannot see remaining out. It is the PREDICTABILITY combined with the size of the increase in growth, and decrease in cost, that is particularly attractive. Mining is risky; one has to keep that in mind up front. But KL has a huge amount of high-grade reserves, backed by an even larger amount of high-grade resources, at two mines...and a reasonable, highly-documented, and funded, plan to extract that ore. All while spending a comparatively larger % on further exploration, around two of the world's richest camps.
I still worry that the Chairperson of the Board has a borderline gambling addiction (my opinion, but it has been and remains my primary negative to holding KL) but I think the Novo disaster, while costly, may lessen the chances of repeats - or at least their magnitudes.
