As I suggested a month or two back, I do not think that Equinor will develop Trace. I think they will prove out the field some more and then sell their interest. Pick up a billion or two after spending perhaps 200-million.
They will put that profit into their Johan Sverdrup field. That's a 10s-of-billions project, already derisked. In June they let the largest service contract ever up there - some 4-billions. Why would you choose a project where you still have to learn the field? 
Further, JS field is on Norway's continental shelf. No extramural political risk. If you are a Norwegian company and have 30-billions to invest, would you choose Turkey or Norway? 
The Thrace decision will be based on opportunity cost and overall corporate needs and directions.
I think they sell...or do a major farm-out. It's about a lot more than the geology.  JMHO
