RE:Tahoe Resources Q3
Doesn't look good. AISC around $1260, production lower, costs higher. $190M loss. $170M non-cash though but even with $5M/Q of Escobal maintenance costs it's $20M p/a. Even without Escobal the loss in the Q was ~$20M. In my view, it goes down tomorrow. But, who knows? May be all that bad stuff was already priced in and it will withstand the bad report? Funny statistics (may be a little bit imaginary). Primero mining, having a majority of it's business outside of Canada (Mexico mostly) buys Brigus Gold (Timmins area in Canada). Some time later ,not too much , starts having problems with its main operations in Mexico and eventually goes out of business. Eldorado Gold acquires Integra gold in Canada and soon after starts having issues in its flagship operations in Turkey, SP drops from $5 to less than a $1 in a matter of a year/year and a half. Tahoe buys Lake Shore Gold in 2016 and the SP goes from +$20 to around $3 after Escobal mine problem. All three had issues not related to their new Canadian properties but the problems coincidentally started after buying Canadian properties. Agatha Christie stuff .LOL.
