I also did the same research on HELM AG and it is a huge company with money and experience. I am pretty sure the deal is already done before the representative of HELM move to Argentina to meet the Ministry of Finance and Mines. You don't move important people if your offer at the beginning is not good Merrill Lynch Canada Inc. 039 still bidding big time. If i am correct, Usually the institution doing pre arrange trade together if they cannot find a seller or buyer the institution go directly into the market that mean is very good.
