Yes, if it falls below the 2016 lows, then there might be trouble ahead, but somewhat confused by your comment, which I highlighted.

Care to elaborate?

For disclosure, I'm looking for an entry point, and picked up a few shares today.

I'm expecting a bottom around $30, give or take a few dollars - which matches 2016 lows.

So, unless oil totally collapses, which it hasn't, I'd be interested why it should be trading lower than the price it was in 2016, when oil was trading at less than 1/2 the price is it today?
