RE:RE:RE:My meeting with Sean
sorry for the spacing...

Svemuri, medical is going to become even better now.

I have made a list of reasons why it is/will be better below, in no order (particularly about Cannmart, but also including all medical):

1. People like online shopping. Currently online is a very good shopping experience for medical because it's easy and convenient, as well as free shipping. Each company also usually gives gifts on your first purchase (right now Cannmart gives you a ~$30 metal storage container), and may continue to give you free stuff over time.

2. On top of that, you can only buy recreational from store of the province/territory that you live in. Each provincial store has different sets of products, and only a few are the same across all the provinces. There are a lot of brands out there working on growing weed in different provinces, and it's going to be more product than any storefront would likely be able to carry. For example:
Imagine even 100 brands with 5 flowers ( + they have 1g, 3.5g, 7g, 15g packaging = 4 actual products) 5x4x100 = 2000 products. Most recreational pot shops are and are going to be pretty small...so even having 2000 products is completely unreasonable.

. 3.In the past Sean had mentioned how they will be able to import product from other countires, which recreational cannot do for now. Since they are working around the world, I assume they will be shipping product to and from Canada, which other companies/stores won't be doing as much of.

.4. I am personally a medical patient with Aurora and Cannmart, living in Ontario. I still will continue to purchase from Aurora, and now Cannmart as soon as they get more products in (I have proof from their site that they are working on selling other products/ have gotten a shipment from Bonify). I bought from the OCS, but I found the products better on the Aurora medical site, and Cannmart has products even the government doesn't have yet (at least in Ontario).

. 5.Medical sites often update their cannabanoid levels on each batch, or keep within a tighter range of a 2-4% spread like Cannmart. On Onatarios online rec store for example....products THC/CBD content ranges greatly! I have seen 10-22% THC. Better to know what you get...although I realize that storefronts fix this problem as each item has the average THC/CBD written right on it. Terpene breakdowns are also very visible on medical sites, whereas exact product terpene information isn't available in online rec stores or at physical stores.

.6. This is random.... but medical packaging does not have the same restrictions as rec. Medical still can have images and more info on the product itself.

7. People can write off medical weed on their income taxes...HUGE factor.

8. Insurance companies are looking at how or if they will cover medical weed, some already partly cover it depending on if you have a severe need for it. If they all start covering it, expect a huge amount of people wanting to move to medical.

9. During the nurse practitioner interview with NamasteMD, the nurse briefly mentioned to me that rec does not exactly have the same quality controls as medical. Rec is usually grown quickly and could be dried poorly.

The really big issue I see for medical is that the rec prices often undercut the medical prices. I'm not sure why this is, or if/when it would be solved. Hopefully there will be a good solution for everyone.
