Mason Resources / Hudbay / Western
Been following this board for a long time.
Surprised that whilst you people debate over and over an ever-repeating, very limited number of topics, Hudbay's takeout offer for the giant but very low grade Ann Mason Cu project seems to have gone unnoticed here.
Ann Mason is huge and very attractive in terms of jurisdiction and infrastructure.
But I think the quality of that project as such can't hold a candle to Casino.
Still they get an offer.
HBM will probably steal MNR for like 40 mio CAD, of course a world apart from what WRN would even start to think about. But the point is that even in the current depressed climate there are always producers on the lookout. And, considering Ann Mason's PEA-only status, this aquirer is not only willing to buy but does so knowing full well that the property won't be into production for several years. In other words, classic value purchasing of pounds-in-the-ground and with a very long term outlook is alive.
Might all bode well for WRN, no?
