A lot of people over here are confusing "deadlines" with "timelines given as guidance". The company doesn't have any 'deadline'... You're setting yourselves up with hard expectations and the only sure outcome from that is eventual disappointment. The company doesn't owe us jack in terms of deadlines and what YOU would consider a "timely delivery". They'll do whatever they think is right. Period. Get it together!!!
