TORSTAR'S FATE SOON TO BE DISCLOSEDtorstar is coming closer to the end as a public company. it just makes no sense here to keep going as a penny-stock. i always believed that fairfax will either buy out the remaining class-B shares at a a dirt-cheap price or is waiting for torstar to file under the companies creditors arrangement act (CCAA) and then throw in money (a lifeline amount) to become legally part of a debt restructuring process. it is now obvious that shareholders cannot expect more than $3/share, the approximate book-value of torstar given the worst than expected financial health of torstar there is also the possibility of a merger to happen, which could explain this such low ts.b share price. torstar shareholder would receive shares of a new-created company rather than cash.
