Essentially it promotes tumour growth and its recognized as a poor prognostic marker in ovarian cancer so it wouldnt be something you'd want to dose patients with even if it has this counter effect of making them more accessible to T cells. The logic would be you'd grow the tumours just so you could shrink them back down again, not a story I'd want to try to sell.
As Delmic says there are other mechanisms that could be correlated with dpx's MOA, biomarkers that promote T-cell activity in the tumour, I guess it could also be the absence of certain T cell suppressors, there are also other angiogenesis promotors in ovarian cancer and many other mechanisms. I dont think we can think of any of them as more likely than any other at this stage, it was just that VEGF seemed to tick all the boxes when I was reading about this yesterday.
