If during the pursuit of the criminality of one entity...you in turn use tactics, and ways and means that undermine that pursuit....then is it not all for naught? The end in this case does not justify the means,
and the shareholders are left holding an empty bag.
What started out as a fight for what needed to be set right at PL, disintegrated into a cash grab by a few people. So woefully underfunded in this fight, MSX and JRL resorted to using the same tactics as the accusee. Is the BCSC protecting its complicity in the coverup of ABX’s fraud at PL? Probably, but they can and will nail BJ with sanctions.
One can argue to infinity and beyond that ABX needs to be held accountable for their egregious actions at PL. Reality is....they got off with a slap on the wrist. It wasn’t for lack of trying...it was the lack of financial, political, and legal clout.
At least the environmentalists shut them down! The gold of PL remains safely in the ground!
