RE:RE:RE:CAMBRIA bought SITEC

RE:RE:RE:CAMBRIA bought SITEC You can't thing of  Ian saying:  i'm cashing out as planned couple years ago and i can't imagine my son taking over... because he is not fit for the role(i'm polite)!

It ensures the future, because if Ian dies, so does SITEC! Period!

"ensures the future of the company and the facilities". That's not instilling confidence.

There will always be a buyer but at what price. There is no doubt about the quality.
Or its eventual ability to production. Its about whether they can sell the product.

Right now. It seems way more difficult that it was expected.

CAMBRIA was a main client of SITEC.

That was last April.

Cambria is a major player in the countertop business. I guess they are not too afraid with the incoming regulation for caribou where they are in operation.

Cambria buys the Sitec mine

Thursday, April 26, 2018 by Dave Kidd

A major transaction has occurred in the region. Sitec sold its facilities in Saint-Urbain to the American company Cambria. The amount of the transaction is not disclosed.

Ian Turner explains that this sale "ensures the future of the company and the facilities". He will remain president of Sitec Quartz North America for the next five years. It also indicates that "nothing changes at the facilities".

alks began two years ago. Cambria has been a Sitec customer for years. The company specializes in the manufacture of countertops for kitchens and bathrooms.

Ian Turner mentions that the company, "recognized for its innovation, has the capacity to financially support the development of the mine located north of Saint-Urbain".

Ian Turner has been at the helm of Sitec Mining for 44 years. He admitted that the decision to sell was "difficult to take", but that he wanted to ensure the future of facilities recalling in passing that the challenge is to "keep production costs as low as possible."

From 200 to 250,000 tonnes of ore are extracted from the Saint-Urbain deposit. Nearly 90 people work in high season.
