Could be tax selling, but I think tiger is right on it with above suggestion. 
Partnership would boost s/p - guarantee and someone expected quick buck capitalizing on it, did not happen, so sell and move on...

I had similar experience when I had funds for speculations. On other hand, my <$1.25 is much easier to achieve. 
I do not have good intuition (that is why I stopped speculating), but this stock should rally by Friday
