if you held a stock for 12 or more years as it dropped from over $1 to .03, you need to re-evaluate your investing methodology ...  you needed to move on years ago !!! and that would have been way before the cto !!!

i don't think i ever owned a stock for more than 5 years ... and those would have involved a nice dividend, plus price appreciation

btw, many people consider a stock under $3 to be a penny stock (since it is not marginable)
