RE:RE:I dont quite get it!As an interim step for the acquirer and TLT, purchasing the laser division makes sense to both entities at this point in time as both will benefit. Value added for the purchaser's product and cash for TLT.
The other strategic advantage I see for the purchaser of the laser division would be that they could (for a cheap price) block out other pharmas from eventually getting their hands on TLT's oncology division down the road because they will have bought the laser division. In the end, TLT's solution will require PDC's + PDT and TLT could continue to have access to the lasers contractually in the sale agreement for the laser division. This would be a brilliant strategic move by the pharma that acquires the laser division for not much money upfront.
