RE:RE:RE:RE:Timing Is Everything

RE:RE:RE:RE:Timing Is EverythingStar Searcher you're such a dork. This is nothing to do with what you said earlier. This is about a short-seller coming out and calling aphria a fraud. Aphria is down 25 to 30% right now because of the short sellers article and you think it's because of what you said. Please you're just some fool that finds articles and ideas to back your position. Most of the time you've been wrong just like this time. Idiot. Google the article you fool

Ultimately, it will get passed.  For now, it's complicated and messy.

BuddingInvestor wrote: All that writing about bush. Yet you failed to mention trump and China playing nice or that it's about time for the Santa clause rally to begin. Always focusing on the negative when your on the outside. My bet is this is a good week. Enjoy the sidelines.
starsearcher40 wrote: It's going to be a very interesting week.  There was some hope to try and get the Farm Bill passed this week, although they are still trying to work on the Forestry component.  I'm not sure they'll be able to do that unless they somehow piece off the Forestry component as its own piece of legislation, which is not a bad idea.

The effort to get the Bill passed now is so that it doesn't end up being part of the politics associated with the debt ceiling, which I think is going to be a gong show.  Trump wants his wall and has already said he's willing to shut down the government over it.  Dumb move, but hey, it's Trump.  Dumb moves are his speciality on a daily basis.  This matter comes to a head at the end of this week, December 8th,  so the idea of getting the Farm Bill in BEFORE the 8th seems paramount.

But now there's a new and unexpected wrinkle that threatens that timeline, that being the death of Bush Sr.  Details are still being worked out, but the impact on timelines to get anything done in Washington are going to be impeded.  U.S. markets are going to be closed Wednesday now, and there are going to be multiple ceremonies, from bringing Bush to lay-in-state, to the actual funeral.  As it pertains to the Farm Bill "extra days" are something that the Government does NOT have.

Personally, I thought they would be lucky to get it through prior to the debt ceiling gong show. And that was without the funeral of Bush now coming in as a factor.  With this factor now in there this week, I would think the passing of the Farm Bill will now be remote.  How it gets played out going forward then, remains to be seen with the possibility of .a Government shutdown being quite real.

It's going to be a very interesting couple of weeks.
