Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Beyond Belief

RE:Beyond BeliefI feel your pain, it's beyond comprehension to see aph which seemed the safest player being decimated and likely delisted ( if some of these allegations turned out to be true) I can't believe i put myself in this situation. Sold most of my share around 8.5.

I am no further ahead from any this reading; in fact, just more confused and disillusioned.  I feel as though I am an unwitting player in a massive movie plot not unlike Wall Street.

Since I have wasted so much time reading useless bashing and fear mongering, I will try to not waste too much of your time and stick to facts...those facts are mostly about what I am doing to try an mitigate my losses.

I owned 60000 shares at an average buy price of about 960K (16 a share).  Today, the value of that hit 456K.  That is half a million dollar loss.  Some of this loss is no longer on paper.  I sold 15000 shares today at 8 with is a 120K loss.  Why?  Because I am scared.  Despite trying to ignore much of the conjecture and BS on this site, Aphria's response was inadequate.  I just checked their website, no news release.  The last one is still the 8 Nov one on CC Pharma.  They had better come up with something feasible by 0930 tomorrow.

As for Atheena and Prof and those wanting "blood", I would suggest now is not the time for calling out others.  I cannot speak to Prof, but I know Atheena is not an alias is hurting.  A lot of shares were purchased on margin and it was called.  Simple fact is, we are where we are and all I can suggest to the board is we try to help one another out with facts without finger pointing.  The only person I am angry with is myself.

The company is under a short attack.  I just watched Chartman Dan and I agree that in hindsight this did not just "happen" today.  Over the last three weeks the shorts have been building positions and they just dropped the anvil this morning.  Aphria is a prime short target, there are rumors swirling about lost deals with various tobacco and alcohol companies.  The PR department has been remiss in not getting ahead of much of what has been going on.  Really, they really need to address all of the things going on.  This is not some bank stock or other blue chip, they are a speculative play in the midst of the first couple of months of legalizaton in Canada.  My strong words to Aphria is get on your game and get ahead of all of this.  No matter what, I intend on owning some shares this time next year and will be heading to Leamington to seek answers.  Today was the final blow to a beaten up stock.

Now what?  The CEO and the rest of the management team better be drafting a News Release refuting the claims.  Get the darn address right for the Jamaican property and get these ownership shell games sorted.  Let us know the status of the deals, if any, and why it is thought that Altria walked away.  Give us an update on how the Health Canada approvals are making out.

I am still long...but definitely lowering my price targets.  Mid teens would be a dream.
