RE:RE:fusion power by 2025It depends on what is meant by "fusion power". Getting these reactions to occur on a small scale is a great achievement but a small step along a very very long road. Once the reactions are possible then you have to figure out how to get the energy into electricity. If it uses conventional steam turbines then 2025 is ridiculous. It would take that long to build the turbine....AND someone has to give you an operating license.
In short there is not a snowballs chance in hell that a commercial fusion power plant could be built by 2025 even if all the money and all the permitting was ready now. Whoever is making these claims has never bhuilt a power plant.
Fusion REACTIONS possible by 2025....probably. A fusion power plant churning out a continuous 1000MW...no.
