Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Adding to the inaccuracy...

Adding to the inaccuracy...Did some digging into the short reports numbers. They were comparing Apharia's Colcanna cost/hectare vs comparables. They have Colcanna at $4.5M/hectare and its peers much lower, Canopy + Spectrum asset was $0.5M/hectare. This is actually false. Canopy paid $136M usd for Spectrum = 176.8M cad, which has a license for 42 hectares, = $4.21M/hectare (verified with md&a). I don't have time to check all the numbers but just based off that, shorters are greatly exaggerating their claims and actually providing false numbers...but average investors will not have time to check the numbers, they just accept short reports at face value and panic sell.
