RE:RE:RE:RE:in-house processingTo carry on the conversation, the possible difficulty with tolling is that the product being created cannot meet an ISO standard unless a procedure is extablished at the manufacturing site i.e. the customer has now become a smelter. To meet most production standars under ISO, both the process and the inputs must meet a standard. It is just possible that the material created by the Drosrite process is not usable in that manufacturing process as it is not accredited material. This would mean that the aluminum/zinc would have to be shipped back to another smelter for reprocessing.
In other words, it might be best to start a complete inhouse process that produces ISO materials. Every producer of dross might be encouraged to use this facility as it is the efficient and least poluting of any other process and can pay a better price for the dross on account of this. Also, Quebec is already known as a primary source of these materials.
