true, average prices are declining, because the top end of the market, which was well in bubble territorry, has cooled off;
but try and buy new construction anywhere in vancouver region for a decent dollar.. not gonna happen; everything sells pretty much right away, for what is historically overblown prices;
1996 a new 3 bedroom townhouse cost 146,000
2018 a new 3 bedroom townhouse cost 659,000
new construction prices are not budging; only the top of the market; so that won't hit GDP at all, other than multiplier on any monies made by re-sellers etc;
