Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Almost every mature corporation was built on....

Almost every mature corporation was built on....Almost Every mature major corporation was built on what is today considered criminal activity.  Best example Exxon. what they did to establish themselves is illegal today. Today’s law was written to counter their anti competitive practices.
It is nave for us to think that we can expand beyond our borders and not conduct business as practiced in the countries we enter.
We have cleared our forests yet we insist that poor countries leave there’s intact. We belch carbon dioxide yet insist that developing countries restrict their consumption of fossil fuels.
We do not practice what we preach, but we should be smart enough to enter countries on their terms and do what is right, even if it means we have to do things their way initially. That would likely include involving influential local people on their terms.
Back to how the largest corporations became what they are…
