Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Reddit Report

Reddit Report There has been a lot of discussion on Reddit refuting the claims of the short seller. Clearly, there are agenda's at work from all sides. Whether they got the right pictures of the facility, even the ones posted on reddit including the field of pot growing cannot possibly be worth US$145M. The point by the shorts was insiders bought this property for some undisclosed amount and then flipped it to APHA for $145M. What must be addressed is the details and unless APHA discloses this information, it casts doubt on all their non arm's length transactions. As for the valuation report from Haywood, most people should realize that if you pay the right amount of money, you can get the valuation report you want. Just make the assumptions match the price paid.

APHA must address and disclose all the details surrounding the transaction or the stock will go nowhere but down. There will be a class action Lawsuit which will likely result in an out of court settlement if APHA is not prepared to disclose and defend the action. That will be the tell as to the validity of the short report. How much will they settle for or how much of the cash on hand will be drained from this SNAFU. APHA must come clean ASAP.
