RE:Outdoor capacity

RE:Outdoor capacityYes they are indeed very conservative and aren't trying to play the hype game like others.

They estimate 40,000kg on 100 acres because they only plan one harvest per year for now.

Some other cultivators make estimates based on 3 outdoor harvest per year which is impossible with our climate. At best 2 harvest would be possible if mother nature is not to harsh.

They also take account that consistency will not be the same vs indoor growing and that is why they will use the 40,000kg for extraction only instead of selling for flowers since it makes no difference once converted to cannabis oil.

This will yield the lowest cost per ml of cannabis oil possible for now. One harvest and the farm will be fully paid + they will make profits.

No need to play the hype game... 48North could be the first in Canada to commercially grow outdoor cannabis and that alone will bring them alot of attention.

Another producer recently estimated 60,000kg from only 30acres! So either that producer is vastly overestimating and may actually be only 20,000kg, or 48North/G&G is very conservative and may actually be more like 120,000kg, or - more likely - it may fall somewhere in the midfle. Either way. I like that I've now encountered at least two other producers who estimate more yield per acre (neither seems likely to be prepared for 2019 like 48North) and one of those is estimating ~3x. I definitely prefer being on the conservative side - passing by anyone who claims ~3x!
