RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:farm bill

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:farm billActually the post wasn't meant for you, but like most fools you dont get the intended purpose of most things said. My offer still stands. I'll pay for Tim and myself to travel to whatever location your at and he can verify our lifetime portfolios and report back to the board. Then people on this board can judge for themselves whether long positions in growth stocks are better than your tea leaves investing style. Last time I proposed this you didn't respond and I assume it's because you don't have a pot to piss in.........just a lot of tea leaves. I dont like tea either. You are a fraud.......prove me wrong.

Thanks for the laugh 55.  Truly, I wish it was laughing with you.  Unfortunately....  ;)

starsearcher40 wrote: To correct you, I said that if the Farm Bill bogged down at all, it could get stuck in the midst of the Government shutdown which is now looming.  That was absolutely correct.  The fact that it didn't' play out that way is irrelevant.  It was offered as food for thought, and it was certainly valid, given they were bogging down on a Forestry issue.

Thank you for being accurate in the future.

55orbust wrote: Remember starcrapper, wasn't too long ago you were saying the farm bill wouldn't pass by the end of the year........wrong again loser. Once again you are disingenuous. Take a long walk off a short pier.
starsearcher40 wrote: From Bruce:

To be sure, Linton said, the passage of the bill is a “big deal, but it’s not a finish line.” The CEO said that approval of the Farm Bill would pose “a lot of ‘what’s-next?'” questions, including how much CBD could be added to food or beverages.

It's hard to get a grip on the immediate impact of the Farm Bill, and if I read Bruce right, maybe there is no immediate impact.  Longer term? Of course.  Right now....well...maybe not.  It's sort of like driving on a secondary highway, and you come to a midsized town.  You're at a red light, and it turns green.  Great!  Oh, wait...there's a whole town's worth of red lights still ahead of us.

Step by step by step, they WILL get there.  Of course, in the enthusiasm of the moment, the market tends to overestimate the immediacy of the impact.
Well, we all know what happens when that happens.

Food for thought.
