RE:china russia smashing usa at their own game...but Canada's toadying support for the US's latest imperial ventures (despite the US's abrogation of trade deals with Canada and their current rogue-state status in the global community) has Canada (and by extension Ivanhoe and other Canadian companies) in China's bad books. Add the inherent uncertainty of the DRC, the fragile state of the Chinese market and economy, and the crushing weight of idiotic US trade actions on the copper price, and it's hard to see anything good happening to IVN in the foreseeable future.
This is a stock that requires Warren Buffett - style investing - eg have a 30 - 40 year timeframe for making money and it will probably work out well. Not going to be a KL or an FNV though, Robert's promotional skills not withstanding.
