RE:VIAAlain Bellemare is "Astonished" that VIA would purchase from a company other than Bombardier? Is that some kind of joke? Whatever else Bombardier may get right, their record of execution and delivery for railroad rolling stock in Canada is a national disgrace. It is possible for events unanticipated or beyond your control to delay shipment for a while, but when it is allowed to go on for years and years, then the problem is management. There is something wrong with the corporate culture in Bombardier's Canadian railway division. The necessary sense of urgency is just not there. I have way too much of my life savings invested in the bomber, and recent decisions like selling off the Q400 are making me feel nauseous.
