RE:Jackie Forrest's preferred solution to AECO woes
RE:Jackie Forrest's preferred solution to AECO woesDon't even get me going but there are multiple factors at play, not the least of which is there are no friends in the patch.they act like a group but are not.a web site like boe has done more for awareness and voice than capp ever did but i digress.politicians are always slow to get up to speed and react knee-jerk...
imo, trace gas problems back to Mackenzie pipe.how many years hum and haw?only a go once some wonk decided all gas down that tube was going to be needed for oil sands.someone else said waitaminute and got to be a better way without dealing with first nations and besides....
lng craze took over and guys like seven gen born.supported by a government for a not yet existing market.
I can remember getting the pitch from vii for investment and the mantra was drill baby drill profits be darned because we are going to own this racket and New York money only believes in growth.
period.
yah, some some local guys there too and pony and others piled on.
Tcpl works for these guys ostensibly for the condensate market but what to do with the gas?hose alberta producers and encourage more walk away of gas here.
These guys are doing it to each other.
meanwhile bc consumers pay more this winter because they have no pipe, traders and peeps with allotment for product game the system, bankers force the hedge, and in the end we all lose.
some very selfish people here need to be called out but many sides to an issue.
A radical solution?
shut a portion of bc gas in until they can move it west.
And I'm skiing in alberta this year.
