RE:Recession or slow growth in 2019-2020 and Alaris Strategy
graffiti99 wrote: Hi all. I’m a holder of Alaris for some time now. I like the business. But storm clouds are forming on the macro economic horizon. Many analysts are recommending to raise cash, play a little defence into 2019 and 2020. Some are using the “R” word too. (Recession). May I have your opinion please on this statement:

Alaris will sell off when one or two of its companies experiences difficulties during the next period of slow growth or recession. Because they have a stable of small, private businesses, they are more vulnerable. Alaris is great coming out of a recession, not at the end of the business cycle.

thanks in advance, good luck all

Imo you should probably send this to IR.

The recession scenario is a recurring fear that has been talked about a couple of times already in the past 5-7 years. It could happen in 2-5 years, hard to predict.

What I know is that right now, some of Alaris' investments can't even respond to the current demand, so even if demand was to tail off some, it wouldn't be a problem. Alaris newer investments are also targetting business which should be somewhat recession resistant.
