RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Solid Insider Buying The roller coaster of the moment is the distress being felt in the stock market, added to repricing of the gaming sector. Those two are macro issues. The micro issues are Kentucky, debt repayment and integration synergies. We have no control over the macro, yet we can hope that Stars is performing as expected (or better) on the micro, and that Kentucky is indeed resolved soon. It is quite amazing that its taken this long for the justices to render their decision, yet I remain hopeful it will be very soon.
Stars is in growing markets and is growing market share by the mere fact that as countries legalize, it reduces incentive for players to use offshore illegal gaming, and then move into the regulated platforms. PA, Sweden and Brazil have now beed added to regulated markets for at least one of Stars verticals. I believe the order from above is "focus on growing our business and forget the public stuff". In turbulent times, it is the right approach, although many of us do wish they'd communicate successes more often and louder. Today is the last possible Thursday in December that Kentucky can render a decision. Would indeed be a great Christmas gift for all sides if they chose to uphold the lower court choice but with a far reduced gift to the state.
