Upside opportunity is very real but downside risks loom large. Gonna protect my money and hold off until we see management can be trusted again.
Dont wish for a down day Monday but Santa won’t likely show up for the new CEO.
If the post is accurate, I'm struggling to see the "upside opportunity". Even if they execute the asset sales in a "good scenario", they're going to need to use all that cash for the WGL Capex. With that occurring, what is going to drive FFO increases and/or reduce debt? The asset sales will have an impact on FFO, and what will they do for CAPEX 2020 and beyond?
To say that this is a disappointment would be an understatement. I get that some people trade in and out of stock market positions, but I just recently retired and purchased this to pay a stable income in retirement. This has gone from a $28 stock to a $12 stock in a very short time frame. How could management get it this wrong? I can't for the life of me understand how Tim Watson still has a job as the CFO, given that all the numbers, projects, due diligence, etc. were created by or vetted by him. Billions of dollars of shareholder value was destroyed by him.
