Silverwhere wrote: Sorry guys, just have to correct my terminology in this post. Was referring to precious metals stocks of course, and not resource stocks.

Anyway, Monday should be interesting!

Silverwhere wrote: MM1 - I know next to nothing about options / futures but have seen large movements in resource stocks in the past which, as you stated, don’t trade in these instruments directly. However, the resources stocks which make up the GDXJ seem to be affected by GDXJ options & the like.

Maybe you can explain the Calls and Puts spikes in volume & open interest for Dec 21 here:

Also, see 2018-12-21 2:21PM EST here – the Open Interest spike Low:

Maybe my 3:21:21 PM ET Novo dip BUY near the daily Novo Low was just a fluke spinoff of a Freaky Friday Options event?

Thanks in advance for any clarification,
SW

Now if you were talking about amazon, apple or adobe or something like that it would be applicable because they are affected by options expiration but NVO has no options or futures expriations that would affect it at all. Nice try but it doesn't work in this case.

Well done, SW. Well done. Tx

Well SW...the Friday close was marked by the following event:

An event marked by 127 individual BUY orders for a total of 719,807 shares purchased.  Except for a single1000 share block purchase closing at 16:31 for $2.32, all these remaining purchases were marked at 16:10 after the closing bell.  And all these buys were at $2.32 for a total of $1,669,952 by "Anonymous" buyer.

At the 16:00 close, the NVO trade was actually standing at $2.07 for the day.  The post bell trades that were closed prior to 16:10 were also driven upwards by "Anonymous" from $2.07 to $2.15 to 16:08:30 post bell.  After that, they leaped up to $2.32 at 16:10 for the offical Friday close.

Tx
