Write to the company! The obvious best use of the funds from the property sale would be to repurchase a sizeable amount of company stock. (ALL the shares of the company could be repurchased with the cash from the sale, with cash left over and the Australian properties and New Zealand royalties still intact - crazy!).
HOWEVER, I have been in contact with the company, and they are trying to tell me that most of the shareholders they have spoken with favor using the money to make acquistions. I find this very difficult to believe! Apparently their plan is to keep the cash for up to a year while searching for potential acquisition targets, then look to finally doing something for the benefit of the shareholders if nothing presents itself. Assuming you disagree with this, I would urge you to contact Chris Beltgens in investor relations at Tag to voice your opinions (chris.beltgens@Tagoil.com).
