I can't say for sure, but I think the current situation makes sense when considering the timeline involved.

RQB acquired Bloomera and the Markham facility around March 2018:

As that news release indicates, Bloomera already had a cultivation license at that point.

I'm assuming that they had the current, non-orbital garden growing infrastructure in place at that time.

I don't know if RQB or Mr. Robinson were involved with the design of the Markham facility at all, but maybe using orbital gardens wasn't considered, or wasn't feasible, when it was being designed?

Perhaps RQB could have installed orbital gardens there during the summer of 2018. But I'm assuming RQB didn't want that disruption in Markham, possibly due to the sales license process that was ongoing, and possibly so that there'd be at least some product to potentially sell as of October 17 (even if it wasn't produced using orbital gardens).

RQB has since indicated that Markham will be progressively converted to orbital gardens:

As far as I know, the Edmonton facility has been using orbital gardens from the beginning.

AGB was acquired in February 2018:

There are in-progress Edmonton construction photos from late April 2018:

By July 2018 there was the open house featuring the orbital gardens in Edmonton:

And there have been pictures posted since, like from November 2018:

My understanding is that Port Mellon and Fort McMurray would, once built, also be using orbital gardens right away.

So it looks to me like the orbital gardens are being used in the new, RQB-designed facilities, and will apparently be switched to in Markham in the near future.

Is there something I'm missing about the current situation?
