RE:RE:Transfer to TFSAWaiting 30 days would present its own risk that the sp would get away from you in which case you would end up with less shares in your tfsa when you did your $6k buyback.
For a good stock that will go up after youmove it to your tfsa, you don't lose a tax loss anyway if it goes up to where you were at break even, because your appreciation will match what the tax loss would have been, and will all be tax free.
I often move tax  losers into my tfsa when I think they will appreciate The only issue to consider is if you are certain they will go up.
