Altagas has holdiings in Canada and the US. They recently started to sell off their Canadian Assets and I believe they are trying to expand their interests in the US

They use their NG assets as well as biomass fuel, wind and Hydro to produce electricity.

To my knowledge they don't have much to do with OIL per se but the price of NG does effect them, internally and externally.

They accumulated a lot of debt when they picked up WGL and they've sold off some of their Canadian holdings to cut back that debt to handleable ratios to income.

They are also have a large storage battery faciliy which they feed the WIND power to.

WIND generated electricity would be cheap if the maintenance costs on the windmills weren't so extortionate. Another WOULDN'T IT BE NICE SOLUTION such as SOLAR

GTLA the good folks here
