RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Happy New Year!I suspect that you're Canadian.

All I can reply is with a quote from Winston Churchill.

"Socialism thrives on poverty"

I have to agree that humans are responsible for polluting the oceans, rivers, lakes with every sort of toxic waste and other forms of garbage known to mankind. Thankfully some of those pollutants will decompose and maybe even help things. How long that will take is debatable.

Our present government has thrown out the future of Canada as we once knew it.

We could go on for hours about the reasons.

What I'm worried about is the end result and making it through the last stage of my life in relative comfort in a relatively free state.

My recent trip to Cuba was an eye opener as to what is considered to be the "Good Life" there. Most on this board can't imagine it. Some of course know it well.

A pensioner in Cuba makes appx $10/mo. Surprisingly that will keep them fed. I believe they have state sponsored housing in retirement. What they will live on is Rice and Beans, with a little tea to wash it down. Creature comforts are minimal. PROTEIN is as expensive in Cuba as it is in North America. Still, they claim it's better now than during the US sponsored Batista era. They seem to be happy. However, the black market is rampant.

Lots more things I saw there remind me of Africa in the late sixties. What can I say, it's a Communist third world nation that is close to bankruptcy, just like every other Socialist nation in South America and maybe the world.

Time will reveal all, even the success or failure of Crius.

I sincerely wish all of you a Happy Prosperous New Year

GLTA the good folks here.
