I find it strange that so many people are blindly following the writings of people such as Marx/Trotsky/Lenin. The rest, such as Mao were just copycats. 

Marx/Trotsky/Lenin were White Collar Theorist Ideologues. All of them were NEVER self supporting and relied on the largesse of colleagues and in some cases cash backing from subversive outside governments to be elevated to influential positions. Their doctrines weren't even the main reason for financially supporting/media promoting them and their writings. 

I guess the only ideologues that can prosper or succeed to positions of prominence have to be unemployable, single minded and extremely egotistical individuals?? It seems they're the only people that actually have enough time to follow their dreams??? Whether their ideas of Utopia will actually work are another thing. 

The Soviets failed in their attempt and the Chinese have made significant modifications to the form of Socialism that was practiced under Mao. 

Cuba is still in the throes of REFORM and will be for a while to come. The one thing I did mention to some of the people that were willing to discuss their politics was that their leaders were phenomemally wealthy and kept their money out of country. They had no answer. Less than .5% of Cubans own private vehicles. They're smart, industrius people and they want more. 

Uncontrolled Socialism only forces everyone to suffer at the same level. Of course it seems that in all of the Socialist nations, SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS. 

People need incentives for putting out maximum efforts. Every person has their own incentive.

This is of course IMHO, you are fully and happily entitled to your opinion.
