RE:RE:They Should Hold Another Election in 6 MonthsBedwetter,

The only reason IVN share price got so low is because everyone is afraid to invest in the DRC. Shorts could snipe with impunity. Kabila set up a sunk costs trap, luring investment into DRC with the promise of a reasonable corporate tax rate and royalties. Once miners had committed billions, and there was no way out, the government abruptly raised taxes and imposed punitive royalties in clear violation of signed ten year stability agreements. That is something Justin Trudeau would never do. Since when has copper become a strategic metal? The Kabila regime was determined to expropriate every last dollar for their own corrupt personal use. Very little trickled down to the people. It’s ridiculous to compare Canada, a nation of laws with DRC, a failed state run by gangsters, for whom human life has no meaning. If investors were no longer justifiably scared, avoiding DRC like the plague, I’m confident there would be a lot more investment funds available.
