Bolivia speaks out about the relationship with Aduvirihttps://peru21.pe/politica/embajador-bolivia-correcto-decir-aduviri-amenaza-creada-bolivianos-452181 Ambassador of Bolivia: "Aduviri is not a threat created by Bolivians" Gustavo Rodriguez Ostria, Bolivia's ambassador to Peru, spoke with Peru21 to comment on his government's relationship with Walter Aduviri, the regional governor of Puno.
What is the link between Governor Walter Aduviri and the government of Bolivia?
If Walter Aduviri coincides in some points with us, it is the fruit of his own reflection. It is not correct to say that Aduviri is a threat created by the Bolivians, that is not the case. Walter Aduviri's position on the exploitation of lithium, for example, is respectable as that of anybody, we have not induced anything. Our policy is non-interference in the affairs of other countries and less in the case of Peru.
You can not deny that the governor of Puno has a very close relationship with President Evo Morales...
But it is public. It would be absolutely out of place that we do not know who is on our border. We are respectful of the government of Peru and will deal with all the important issues at the central government level. We do not talk about issues that belong to Peruvian sovereignty with local governments.
What position is now held by Walter Chavez (former adviser to Evo Morales) in Bolivia?
He has no charge, he does not work for the government of Bolivia. He publicly separated from the government and left the country. Now he is no longer an official.
Since when has Chavez not worked for your government?
I don't know, I'm not the one who manages the staff in Bolivia. What I can tell you is that today he is not a government official.
