Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:RE:So excited for next week!!!!!!!!
I must respond here.  I have sat on two Boards, much smaller entities than APHA, but the concept is the same.  You have “In Camera” (bizarre name for private) meetings.  I’ve seen lots happen behind closed doors, everything from yelling matches to threats.  Something like “If you don’t step down and clear the way we are going to roast you” said in confidence turns into “We would like to thank this individual for their service and wish them well.”  You do this to save the entity.  I see this is what is happening here.  The new management team is here to stay (not one resignation and some pretty great new arrivals).  I suspect there have been a couple of folks from the old guard found with their hand in the cookie jar.  These entrepreneurs (gunslingers) are a necessary part of a new business in a new frontier.  But their time is over…Elon Musk is the best example of a visionary necessary to break through barriers, but then becomes a liability once those barriers are broken.  Mama don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys.  The next step for APHA is a buyout.  The days of Altria’s potential 22 are behind us.  We will be lucky to get high teens…maybe 20.  That’s what this is about.  Clearing the path for a new beginning.  The present executive team is doing their best to ensure their stock options are worth something.  This stock would have to now go to 40 for me to break even (sold a bunch at 7 that I bought on margin at 13 when it seemed the Altria deal ‘was in the bag’).  I know I won’t recover my losses…but like those Aphria executives presently at the table I would like to see some of those losses recouped.  As for Vic Neufeld, I will wait until the professionals determine his role in all of this.  If he is found guilty, I will be signing on to any action being sought against him.  If he is guilty he deserves nothing…
