Dividend is not based on share price but rather their financial position and ability to pay. I don't have the ability to interpret their latest quarterly reports from Sep 30, 2018 but from the little I can glean it does not look like their position is vastly different from same time a year ago.

In their investor information on their website they highlight the following as reasons to invest ...

  • Distribution increased ~20% from January 2016 to January 2018
  • Board and management committed to current distribution of $0.84 per unit per year
  • Payout ratio of 64% in 2017

I'm hanging my hat on their stated committment to maintain distributions.
