RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:A220-500 is in the works see linkI won’t be surprised if bbd and GE are working on re-engine on CRJ. Just like RR and Global 55/6500. GE could have a passport engine core with new fan which can fit in the same nacelles and weigh close to current engine weight. Without CRJ GE is pretty much out of regional market thanks to PW GTF on e2 and mrj. There is incentive for GE to back CRJ. Also nothing wrong with forming partnership with AB to make and sell CRJ against BA-EMB. Tweaking of the wings and new engines will be minimal cost to BBD and put it with par with e jets.
