In particular, companies engaging in buy-backs have until the 10th day of the following month to report their public-market transactions. https://www.canadianinsider.com/faq

If they haven't actually purchased any so far and the stock price has moved up that probably bodes even more poorly for the shorts since that means more money still available for buybacks. And then of course there is the looming dividend reinstatement. I'm guessing the dividend will be between 80 cents and $1 annual. GLTA.
