RE:RE:RE:RE:A few things....Yep, I think Tilray is the most logical suitor. With their higher SP the dilution would be minimal. Tilray would be crazy not to make a bid.

Cam's interview from Friday on Midas said they are now slowing thier pace of acquisition.Tilray seems to make the most sense as they need to capacity. Maybe big pharma or Shoppers come it, that would be great

GGB doesnt have enough reaources to make a legit bid, but it will force other players to come forward. I know Cam mentioned ACB is not interested in Aphria, but if offers comes in, I think ACB will enter the frenzy as well. They dont want to lose number 2 spot. Tilray or Cron will become number 1-2 if they acquire Aphria...

2. Rumours Part2: They have had some meetings with a surprise interested party in Shoppers Drug Mart; Diageo and Purdue still hovering around, but no idea of intentions as yet, wait and see mode.
3. daredevil, et al: no idea what would spur them to sell yesterday, slightly red day on a generally red day for LP’s; I think they were rookies who worked themselves into a negative emotional frenzy over analyzing with each other in emails and chats; still wish them the best and hope they recoup their losses.
4. Conspiracy theory: imagine if Altria was the mystery accumulator in NY, and they were using CRON as a Trojan horse to acquire APHA; they acquire 10% much cheaper then they were going pay 8 weeks ago, cancel those shares, then propose a 1:1 merger; just thinking out loud, but could never understand the investment in CRON, not nearly enough current or planned capacity to capture significant market share in Canada, not enough to supply Juul, average grow facilities, no significant US or international footprint, rumour was Diageo dismissed them pretty quickly as a target. $2.4B can fix a lot of that, but not sure they put their money in to play catch-up for the next 3 years.
Good weekend all. Snowing in Toronto like Pablo Escobar’s birthday party.
