Ever wonder why this stock nosedives on any news ? The latest short position here was a considerable increase from Jan 1. One poster said, the big boys know something, turns out, they thought they did but didn't. The market has responded. Bulls didn't show up. Nor would they, when an enormous amount of shorted shares became public knowledge and were handed out Jan 15 and bashers appeared in full force , even some former longs that didn`t have the patience to hang on.
Shorting stocks happens all the time. Big Banks, aerospace manufacturers, Dollar stores, the list is endless. Preyed upon, are those that have been the whipping post in that particular sector. Positions change. So does a Company`s stature even when all positives are denied, the facts remain.
Shorting a stock carries a great burden. That burden needs to be met on a timeline .Each short position is determined by interest payments and a timeline to be paid back dictated by the broker. This stocks` performance today says, investors are tired of being taken advantage of. Not by the Company, by the very brokerages lending these shares out. Ever notice when the stock starts to fly, some unforeseen circumstance and shares upwards of 50 million trades per day come on line? That is some serious money. Once the bulls get tired, the huge trades dwindle. Happens every time. Ask yourself why this is a fact.
