RE:ANY ONE KNOW WHAT A GOOD AMOUNT OF GOLD IS per tonSteve555,
Grade is an important indicator, so 10 gpt is a good start, but the intercept is another factor. So if they hit 10 gpt over 100m then the hole would be excellent. If the intercept is only 1 cm (or 0.01 m) then one has to think twice.
Since the drill bit is small it is difficult to have a complete hit of a high-grade area. High grade over a short interval could mean that the drill bit just have a small nick of a potential high-grade zone.
To have a combine effect of grade and intercept, people would multiple the two numbers together and get a combined indication in "gpt-m". And anything over 30-40gpt-m would be considered as economically viable.
For example, in the current NR on the first page for the Western Flank: 7621 gpt over 0.27m would yield
2057 gpt-m which is much larger than the trigger level 30-40 gpt-m mentioned above. Similarly, on the A zone, hole 13 is also excellent with over
700 gpt-m. It should be noted that there was an old hole BE19-292 in the so-called Mr. Smith area (near HOF) which has intersected (over a short distance, 0.07m) with a phenomenal grade of 23760 gpt (some 23 kg of Au in a tonne of rock). Bonanza grade indeed. I just hope that they would bring a drill over and poke a few hole near the HOF zone (they said later, in the second half of 2019).
To have some fun with math, you may want to look at the picture of the core on page 1 of the NR and have an estimate of the value of that core (0.27m core @ 7621 Au, should that core be left unattended)
