purely speculation.   but if hes at a big mining conference that the whole mining community is expecting him at, and he suddenly leaves.   It won't be for a big bonanza find,   that would take a few days at least to decipher.   a couple weeks to decide on the news release.   New board members or a bigger take over company wouldn't show up when hes not there.  That sort of thing would be well planned for in advance.   the only thing I can figure he would leave so suddenly for would be a family emergency or an accident at the mine.
